About Trojan ..

Trojan Entertainments and Events was formed in 2003 by owner and DJ Rick Kershaw, initially catering for pubs and private parties in his locality.

As time went on the business grew under Ricks watchful eye and those of his friend and mentor Dave Swift of DSSL (Dave Swift Sound & Lighting).

Trojan expanded its working area to all parts of Lincolnshire and Humberside, and is now able to perform at any event nationally, or in extreme cases Rick is prepared to take the business into Europe.

Trojan are available for any type of event or function and recently we have spent a lot of time entertaining at weddings and kids parties. We also attend Fetes and outdoor shows to provide PA facilities.

Ricks business also supports a local majorette troupe in scunthorpe and often travels with them to displays to provide sound. Trojan has also for the last three years provided sound and lighting facilities on the float that the majorettes use in the Cleethorpes Carnival Parade, and boy does that get loud.

Trojan Entertainments also provide Karaoke facilities as an extra option to your party sound system and continues to invest in new equipment on this side of things, in the very near future we aim to be totally computerised with the karaoke which will produce a more slick streamlined performance.

We are also proud to be associated with Melior Productions the performing arts department at Melior Community College in Scunthorpe. We assist and advise where able the school with sound and lighting matters for productions they put on, recent ones being: Grease the musical, We Will Rock You, High School Musical and the yearly Class Act (Inter school talent comp).

Rick also holds a diploma in Event Management and this is another service we offer both our private and commercial clientbase. From initial contact through to event completion and beyond Trojan Entertainments promise a truly proffesional service.

Rick also during the festive season works as a lookalike santa, (photos will appear soon on the gallery page). He has worked in grottos in Scunthorpe Town Centre and has even done entertaining home visits for kids. Last christmas (2010) Rick worked for Amazon.co.uk as a santa at thier new distribution centre giving gifts and sweets to the staff and visitors.
